Commis Chef | Stanley Restaurant Manly Wharf

We’re looking for passionate and motivated Commis Chef’s to join our kitchen team. Whether you’re starting out in the industry or looking to take the next step in your culinary career, this is a great opportunity to learn from experienced chefs, build your skills and be part of a fast-paced hospitality group.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the chefs with daily kitchen preparation and service
• Preparing ingredients and assisting across different sections of the kitchen
• Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
• Keeping your section clean, organised and well stocked
• Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards
• Working as part of a collaborative and energetic kitchen team
• Learning new techniques and developing your culinary skills

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience as a cook or a commis chef
• A genuine passion for cooking and hospitality
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume environment
• Great attention to detail and pride in your work
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with Asian or Chinese cuisine is advantageous, but not essential
